Behind the lens. 

A true SoCal native, Dylan was born and raised in Orange County, California. In 2005, he earned a spot at the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts, where he trained in the Musical Theatre conservatory. There, he explored a range of vocal styles—from pop to jazz to Broadway—honing his performance skills and developing a deep love for storytelling.

Dylan got his start in media back in 2008 when he landed an internship with 944 Magazine, juggling both photography and writing for the editorial team. He quickly made a name for himself, and by 2010, he was a regular contributor, collaborating with top beauty brands and writing a nationally recognized monthly column.

His first taste of the spotlight came in 2007 when he appeared on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16 at Savannah’s over-the-top jungle-themed bash in Laguna Beach. A few years later, in 2011, he popped up on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County, working alongside Alexis Bellino as her makeup artist and photographer.

Dylan earned his degree in Broadcast Journalism from California State University, Fullerton, where he sharpened his storytelling skills both behind the camera and in the newsroom. During his time there, he served as Photo Editor for The Daily Titan, capturing compelling visuals to complement the paper’s reporting. He also took on the role of Producer for OC News, gaining hands-on experience in broadcast production and media coverage.

In 2014, an exciting chapter opened as he began an internship with CBS's Entertainment Tonight. Nestled within the music department, he played pivotal roles in events like The 56th Annual Grammy Awards and multiple movie premieres, including The Lego Movie. This engagement had him working in tandem with renown host Nancy O'Dell, conducting interviews with notable figures such as Lea Michele, Jesse McCartney, Gloria Estefan, Mary J. Blige, Smokey Robinson, and Will Ferrell.

By January 2015, Dylan's trajectory led him to the American Music Awards, where he collaborated with Dick Clark Productions and Snapchat. His interviews with luminaries like Charli xcx, Rita Ora, Heidi Klum, One Direction, and Matthew Morrison showcased his growing influence. Reinvited to the Golden Globe Awards, he graced the red carpet to create content for Snapchat's 'Live Story,' amassing an impressive 21 million views. His engaging interviews featured Kristin Wiig, Jessica Chastain, Lana Del Rey, and Julianne Moore.

In 2015, Dylan took his impact to Las Vegas as part of the digital team for Dick Clark Productions at the Billboard Music Awards. Positioned on the red carpet, he captured exclusive content and interviews with arriving nominees and celebrities. Using Snapchat as his platform, he connected with stars like Meghan Trainor, Mariah Carey, Tori Kelly, Nick Jonas, and Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel, delivering engaging, behind-the-scenes moments that brought fans closer to the excitement.

From 2017 to 2023, Dylan was a primary photographer for Modern Luxury’s LA Confidential MagazineAngeleno Magazine, and OC’s Riviera Magazine, capturing the essence of the most exclusive cover parties, award shows, and upscale events. These high-profile occasions, hosted by the best brands and venues, allowed Dylan to work alongside some of the biggest names in entertainment. His portraits of Kylie Jenner, Laura Dern, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Kristen Stewart showcased his ability to capture the star power and sophistication of each subject, making him a sought-after presence at these elite gatherings.

Dylan has built strong connections within the LA theater community, collaborating with top venues like Center Theatre GroupThe Pantages Theatre, and El Capitan Theatre. Most recently, he had the opportunity to interview the Broadway touring cast of Back to the Future to promote its run at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, while continuing to produce engaging content that brings the excitement of live theater to online audiences.
